As the winter closes and the warm weather starts to settle, I've been wanting to set up a Spring/Summer themed session. Shooting indoors for so long has made me crave the golden sunsets and cool breezes that only these seasons can bring. This specific set provided just that. With the help of my colleague, Phil Gonzalez, we were finally able to produce something visually appealing.
I am happy to release the set of the ever so stunning Lilian Baldorado. I, myself, has been seeking to have a shoot with her for some time. Since the day I met her at the Miss Philippines pageant hosted by Rutgers University Newark's FSA, I knew that I had to have her in front of the camera again. Through my progression this year, I was finally confident enough to ask her to be my muse. We linked up, set up the looks, and started capturing moments.
The first couple of looks were deeply inspired by the spirit of Spring and Summer, utilizing denim jumpers and loose fit skirts. It was a perfect fit to the overall theme, complementing ready-to-wear apparel that can be found at your local H&M and Forever 21.
The next fit was more Boho styled utilizing simple denim jeans, a loose shawl, and a comfortable panama hat. Very simple yet very stylish.
The last couple of looks utilized variations of the same style with slight touches to the accessories and bottoms. Composed of a simple button down shirt matched with a fit skirt or shorts, it provided a great representation of ready-to-wear that any lady can pick up and look amazing in.
These looks were meticulously planned by Phil Gonzalez who carefully studied trends of women's fashion towards this oncoming year. We focused on sticking to the mood board he generated and the results came out fantastic. Look out for these looks within the next few months!
A big thanks is definitely in order to the people that made this happen.
