Ladies and gentlemen, I am very pleased to finally release Queen of Spades, one of the biggest production shoots I've had this year. I had the pleasure and the honor of having the beautiful Abby Viernes on set. Ever since I met her about a year ago, I've always wanted to link up and have her as a subject in front of the camera. Thanks to our mutual friends and one of our Vogueabulary events, we were finally re-introduced and we locked up a shoot.
The theme, carefully devised by Nate Balico and I, revolved around her strongest color, black. The original editorial idea revolved around "Dark Queen." It eventually evolved into a representation of the Queen of Spades.
The looks, which evolved from simple to majestic, was born from the idea of transformation from a dark beauty to a queen. Each garment was meticulously pieced together to represent the look we envisioned. The make up was carefully detailed to accommodate each individual look as well.
Please enjoy the final product below!
I am happy to have shared the result of our efforts through this set. We are slowly developing our skills as artists and we hope to bring you more creative images.
Lastly, as always, a BIG thank you to the team that made this happen.
