In the pursuit of trying to become more consistent with my style of photographs, I keep reminding myself to just keep shooting. The more images that I streamline through my workflow, the more efficient I see myself in visualizing the end product.
Ladies and gents, I'd like to re-introduce Miss Golda Gozum. She's been one of my main muses when I need someone to shoot and have a good time. Her presence in front of the camera is honestly amazing, possessing natural beauty and such a loose personality.
For this shoot, I didn't utilize a make-up artist or stylist. I wanted to focus more on lighting, framing, and my overall technique. Testing out various camera settings and light outputs, I wanted to re-experience my curiosities as if it was the first studio shoot I've ever had. She put on whatever she brought and we shot away.
I'm glad to say that much of these images involved minimal editing, which is currently my preferred way of approaching these test shoots. I wanted her to be herself, in comfortable clothes, in a more personal environment. My goal was to capture the moment.
As I continue to produce more and more images, I can definitely see some improvement in my overall style. I can't stay satisfied yet, however. There's still knowledge out there that I aim to acquire. I can only get better from here and the best is yet to come.
Much love to Golda for always willing to be my muse. I look forward to having more sessions with her this year. Stay tuned.
Cheers, everyone. Never stop learning.
